    Macro & Extension Tube?

A while back I submitted a discussion thread on this website asking what people thought about using an extension tube together with a dedicated macro lens...

Well, here are a couple of results, any constructive feedback would be greatly valued!

    Many thanks guys

I LOVE the middle photo! The colors are perfect and so is the composure (slightly off center -- perfect!). Very nice work!

Beautiful shots. I have to agree with Nate here, your second one is perfect. Great composition, great use of the rule of thirds, and wonderful colors. I voted yes by the way, because I think you can do WONDERFUL things with a macro lens.

Great shots and Welcome to the boards,

    Jared

WOW~! Beautiful~! I love the second shot, it's a marvellous photo. So eye catching, and the color is just right to make a perfect pic. Great composition too.

    Just a note,

I think the majority of people are going to vote yes for a macro lens. If you have the money, to enlarge your photo gear is always a good idea, and who doesn't want a macro lens?!

I think the first two shots are very nice! It looks like your combo worked well for you.

Hi Jared, yes, my question related more to the merits of combining a dedicated macro lens with an extension tube as opposed to solely using a macro lens alone...

    Thanks for the feedback though!!

I like the bottom one hte best. It gives me a very whimsical feeling. The bright spot on the right is a little distracting, however.
