    Fire Hydrant. . . B&W

This is an old fire hydrant near a field with grass and weeds growing around it. It looks to have been out of use for a long time. It just struck me standing there alone , and liked the old and weathered look about it. Shot with a tamron 28-75 di at about40 mm with polarizer, tripod, fuji superia 200. Converted to b&w in Jasc paint shop pro 8. Scanned with a minolta dimage dual scan lll film scanner. . .as I do with all my negs. ( just in case anyone could use to benefit from knowing some of the technicals )
I think it came off ok, but wondering what others feel, subject strong enough, point of view ok?, lighting? Comments appreciated . .
