I like the lighting, and the strong contrast of the image. It would be interesting to see the difference in quality of the image if it had a long depth of field. Also interesting would be a point of view much lower than this one. I think that the image is of high quality though overall. Nice.

Hi Gahspidy... I think this picture works well, if I am not wrong you were interested in showing the texture on the hydrant, and this picture brings it out. Maybe there is a technique (in photoshop), or through taking the picture (would light from a different direction have caused it to be more visible?) that would work better... but as it is, I still like it
