Continuing with the Macro Flower Trend

I've been playing with a pot of violets sitting in my sunroom. While I have quite a few variations, I think this one is currently my favorite.

It's lost a bit of sparkle in the resize - maybe I'll post a link to a full size one later.

    Thanks!

The sparkle is great. I'd like to see a fullsized one - must be spectacular.
The overall composition is very nice too with the curving line of blossums blurring away toward the background.

Wonderful color and detail. Love working in close and you have pulled it off beautufully. My only suggestion is to try a slight top and right side crop, not a lot but a little on both would in my way of thinking give you a much stronger composition. You want to keep your arch of three in the comp but eliminate the most out of focus part of the bloom on the right. Very very nice thanks for sharing.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Thanks Old Timer. I think I see what you mean about cropping the right side. I'll play with it when I get some time. Maybe cropping about the same amount off the right side of the last flower as is cropped off the top of the middle flower. Good suggestion.

Old Timer - thanks for the suggestion. I cropped the right side a bit and re-posted here:

I like this result much better than the original. The photo feels much deeper with the last flower cropped; It almost leaves me wondering if there could be a 4th and 5th flower continuing on the same lines.

    Thanks again!
