    boardwalk & reed

    But which one would you choose ...
    The shot as I approached it, or one from vertically above it?

    Sometimes the forum displays them in different order.
    For me the overhead shot (no perspective) is the first one.

    1st one... tones and textures are more pronounced and the shadows are nicely framed.

    Hey Paul, I go with the 1st one. The tonality, shadows and composition are great. I wish you had removed one of the branches off the 'reed'. I don't know what those things are called.

    Second one for me. . .sharper and greater tonal range. Not as contrasty and so it does not immediately catch attention as the other, but after comparing i find I like the sharpness and tonal range of the second and the wow factor of the first wears off quickly.
