The pic has some very nice elements, but I wish the expressions of the people weren't lost in shadow. It seems to take away from it a little. The B&W is a good touch.

Again it's very hard to critique your photos because of your skill level. The only thing that is slightly distracting is the person setting behind the bicycle pedals. But a nice picture with interesting subjects and good choice of B&W and nice job on the crop as well..

I like how the photo shows too varies of interests and how each person is dressed accordingly along with their instrument of choice. The similarities are priceless, they both have one foot on the railing and both are wearing Gilligan style hats. Though, I agree with everyone else on the fact that I think more visual expression would've enhanced the shot. Maybe a different time of day? say... around 3 or 4, when the sun isn't as intense.
The shapes of the silhouettes against the bright background is what works here for me. It also brings to me the feel of the boardwalk mood. I'm not in need of seeing any faces or more detail here. the only point I have for improvement would be for the surfer to have had his head tilted in a slightly different manor so as to get a better idea of how he may be interacting with the cyclist.
good eye tuna, and this plays right into my love for high contrast black and whites. i think a little more detail would be nice, but I like this as it is as well. Only thing distracting, as said, is the guy behind the bike pedals. one of my favs from you in a long time.
