    Big Sun

I took this picture this past Sunday after a long day of shooting. This is the full frame scaled down to web size with no other post processing. I thought it was kind of neat.

Wow, i love it, i really like he elements below the sun that give it depth. It's neat, the haze through the sun is sweet too. It gives a slight eery feeling tot he picture.
    Great shot!

I think this is a great pic and love the surreal quality to it. I have to make time to capture one of these. Great job.

"Neat" is an under statement, Greg. Great colour in the sky and sun etc and the silloutte of the trees etc is supurb. Neat indeed.

Yanno, I'm almost tired of seeing sunrise/sunset shots... so many of them are pretty much the same ol' thing. But this one definitely stands out from the pack. Great job, Greg!

    Re: Big Sun

What seperates this shot from millions of other exactly like it? The fact that you took it. Is that enough to make it great? No. It's a competent shot, but overall, nothing special. Next time, try to use a moment like this to do something unique, something that we've never seen before. Look for the way the light interplays with reflections, shapes and settings around you. See if you can make the great sunset part of something much more striking, something unique. Show us something we've never seen before.

    Re: Big Sun

I like the shot very much and wish I had taken it myself. It's always a challenge to capture such a sight on film/memory card and I recognise the kick it gives you when you find out that it all worked out.

    Cheers,
    Frank
