    fun with the sun

This little guy had been pecked within an inch of it's life---but I thought the way the sun was hitting him and the textures on the mushroom cap were worth posting....here's two slightly different ones ---what do you think?

    oh I forgot...ISO 200, 1/60th to 1/125th, f/5.6 - 11(somweher in there) at 50mm

i like the second one better, the sun looks more natural and real in it

i am not sure if i love this type of photo of an old mushroom, but i think some people might like it, and you did a nice job with this picture.

the colors also came out very vibrant and nice

I think there is a picture to be found anywhere if you have the eye to find it. For me, though, this might be one of the least "grabbing" photos I've seen from you. Maybe more detail and/or a different perspective might makr it interesting. As always, I'm just offering my $.02 and might be all wet.

one end will make you grow taller... and one end will make you grow smaller...
Oh sorry! Just thinking of Alice in Wonderland with this shot
I actually prefer the vivid color of the first, to the second shot.
I agree with LL on another perspective, it's definitely an interesting shroom.
    How big is that?

    Hey Natalie,
I do like the lighting best in the second shot (the one on the bottom) I agree with LL about a different perspective here. The mushroom has not real impact against the bg.

    thanks everyone

I just wasn't sure...it was interesting but after about 25 different shots and 30 minutes of rolling in moss I was pretty much mushroomed out...

maybe next year when it comes back up(it got mowed over)....I'll try again

    I try something different...
    ;)
