    Understanding The Photograph

What caused this photograph to be so "blue"???

The fix is relatively simple - reduce the blue.
It takes a little more then that but the excessive blue is the problem.

Since we have no information about equipment or film or digital used, we can only guess.

Type of film.(Some films are more blue then others)
    Time of day.
    Altitude.
Camera pointer in a northerly direction.
Could have used a filter which enhanced the blue.
    Poor processing.
    Not properly scanned.

I know - none of this makes any difference to the fix but if we knew what caused the problem then we could avoid the problem, next time around.

Interesting post. I definitely notice a very deep blue sky in the moutains as opposed to Wisconsin. I attribute this to less pollution, dust, haze, etc. And of course the higher you are, the less sky you shoot through. Now add a polarizing filter and the sky becomes a very dark blue.

I like the effect on the sky mainly because I can't replicate it here in the semi-flat lands. Now a blueish hue to an entire image, that's not good. I suppose PhotoShop experts can fix it, but the better the raw image is, the easier it is to produce a nice print.
