The top photograph is the original.
It has been cropped because we did not need all of it for the purposes of these demo's.
The "blue" has not been adjusted at all.
I repeat - No adjustment in the "blue" histogram.
The Red and Green were adjusted until the end triangular adjustment points just touched the graph where the information finally became "solid"
In other words all the little bits and pieces, beyond where the graph was solid were cut off.
Note that we still have the very blue sky but we also have a hugh increase in the colour saturation of the other colours.
Did we have too much blue or not enough red and green???
I am only suggesting questions here.
You may draw your own conclusions from the examples.
If you happen to have PS CS you can actually call up the entire clour histograms and watch the changes take place as you do the adjustments.
Other examples of how to deal with this "blue" photo will follow.
It takes a while to set them up.
Understanding is the "key" to the use of technology for the purpose of producing art.
This demo, will I hope, help to illustrate why this understanding is so important.
