I started this series to show just how much variety there is available in using histograms and levels.
In this case the top photo is the original - cropped and the bottom is what I get from using Auto Levels.
Using Auto Levels can give you a hugh range of different effects, because Auto Levels is adjustable.
Image-Adjustments-Levels and in the bottom right hand corner, just above the three eyedroppers, click on Options.
This will open the Auto Colour Correction Options Window.
For the bottom photo i selected Algorithms - Find Dark & Kight Colors
then I used Snap Neutral MidTones.
For Target Colours and Clipping I used .20%.
You will notice that there is also a box to save what ever you set as Presets.
Contary to one suggested opinion - That Auto Colors - was only for amateurs - If the proper adjustments are selected and saved it can be a very fast way to get "close" to a neutral photograph.
If you find the results still to blue you may raise the red values and lower the blue vlaues slightly - after you select OK for the AutoCoorCorrection Options.
Understanding is the key.
Now everyone who reads this knows more about AutoColors then our friend who stated that AutoColours was for amateurs only.
You may thank Bruce Fraser for most of this TidBit of knowledge.
