I checked with the Microsoft site last night. While there were some issues with multiple firewire ports, they seem to be fixed. Two of my students have updated to SP2, are using Canon ZR series cameras and aren't having any problems. The only thing that I can think of is having you re-run the windows update and check with Canon to see if you have any newer drivers, eventhough Windows supposedly should see the device. I'll keep looking.
