Fujifilm s7000

I bought this digital camera.......but I have no idea how to use it, I dont know if its a point and shoot, I am a complete newbie to this.......but basically I want to be able to take pictures that are clear? For example if I zoom into someone's eye, it gets blurry? I get frustrated

i have a fujifilm s5000, which is one level down from the s7000. the s7000 is a point and shoot, fully manual, and also pre-set setting for various types of photos (landscape, sports, etc.)

on the blurry eye thing....i assume that you are taking the photo VERY close to the person. if so, you need to take the shot in macro mode. this should eliminate the blurry image. also, check your resolution setting. higher is better for quality.

read the owners manual. lot's of good info in it.
