    Yesterday

I went to probably one of the most enjoyable weddings I've ever been to. The wedding was in a garden, and the only tradition they stuck to was not seeing each other before the ceremony. Instead of rice or birdseed, they did a balloon release, which was really cool.

Great shot adina! Always neat to have a picture that is original and breaks previous tradition! Great black and white!

    Thanks!

Although all credit for breaking previous tradition goes to the bride and groom, who are at this point sunning themselves on a beach in Cancun.

    Re: That's extremely irresponsible...

These were wild balloons, trapped before hand, and cruelly forced to be tethered to a bag of sand.

Their release was an act of humanitarianism.

Ya know, Adina, you can't just release domesticated balloons into the wild and expect them to survive. I get sick just thinking of some poor, helpless balloon stuck in a tree, or worse, tangled in power lines with no way to call for help or get fresh helium.

Their fate is a very sad one...
