Talking ps...had I known we were supposed to do self portraits...

Now Adina, you know Rick and I are going to use ANY excuse to post self portraits. (We also KNOW that you love it!)

The concept of "24 Hours" is to document a day in your life. Therefore, it stands to reason that a day in my life must include...ME! A day in Rick's life must include him. A day in your life must include you. You get the idea.

The field of snow with the corn stalks (?) is a great pattern shot. I really like that one too!

I love the ice in the chain link fence shot!

I've never seen anything like that before, where the ice forms sheets between the links.

    That is so cool!!!

Talking "We weren't "supposed" to do self portraits today..."

"it kinda just turned into that.

    Speed, see what you started?!"

    Guilty as charged!

But I did it for you Rick. I knew you would post some self portraits, and I didn't want you to catch grief for it. So, being the friend I am, I went ahead and started it so you could post all the self portraits you wanted - guilt free! Because Speed started it.

Well, I forgot the camera on the kitchen counter last night, so no photos from kickboxing. I guess that's all I have.

Very good point. Day late and a dollar short on this one, no self portraits for me.

Thanks Chunk. That brick sidewalk is part of the old sidewalks up by the courthouse. They were there long before the part you saw on down the hill. As for the bell it was in the original courthouse that stood where the one I have pictured is located. It survived the confederate raids into the northern parts of Kentucky when many courthouses were burned. It was torn down in the early 1950's. The bell was stored in the attic of the new courthouse and forgotten. It was found about five years ago when the courthouse was going through a renovation and the new cupola was being added. they were going to reinstall it on the courthouse but decided to give it a place of more prominence in a little green space that had been created on the courthouse hill just up from where you and I had lunch.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Evening through Midnight.

I do have a few more from yesterday. I meant to take my camera to work last night and I forgot. I pulled an Adina and left it on the kitchen counter! lol Last night was the last night for my kids group and two of them did a cheer for me and the other intern. Unfortunately, she wasn't there to see it, so I took a camera photo to send to her cell. Then this morning I realized it counts as a 24 Hours image ;) (blurred for confidentiality, sorry! they had big smiles though)

But first, sunsetting light on the McDowells off my back porch.

    My Morning Pics

My morning started off with a 2:00 a.m. wake up call from my girls. Here they are, Holley is the black lab, Jinjer is the golden retriever, getting ready to do what they do.

Here's Holley and Jinger sitting pretty waiting for their poddy treat and wondering why I'm taking their picture so early in the morning.

I was thirsty, so I checked the fridge for something to drink, then headed back to bed.

After a couple more hours of sleep it was time to get ready for work.

Here's my lunch to get me through the day.

Then I had to feed the fish.

My truck is warming up before heading to work.

A couple shots from my morning drive to the office.

My speedometer is broken, so I have no idea how fast I'm going.

Here are a few shots of where I work. Notice the lack of lights at this hours.

    A shot of my desk.

    The break room.

    An empty hall.

This is my Bob Marley wood carving and rasta tasle I picked up in Jamaica a couple weeks ago.

    My Afternoon Pics

Since everyone else was doing self portraits, I thought I would follow along too.

After work I headed to the store to pick up a few things for supper.

And a new wiper blade for my truck.

This was taken on the ride home.

Once home, I had to let the dogs out, and fill the bird feeders. Holley likes to help fill the feeders. Ok, she likes it when I throw her ball.
