Welcome Danna, suggest as a starter with that budget you look at some of the bundle deals that some of the retailers such as Amazon are offering I think they have a $1300 deal for a Nikon D7000 ( great camera.. ) + 3 lenses + a whole lot of other stuff that will allow you to hit the ground running. It will leave you a bit left over for editing software as well. Looking forward to seeing some of the results
Pete
Isn't it a cool thing in nature that the colours never seem to clash...
I am brand new here but not to photography. I would like to read of any experiences with using a Vario Elmarit 14-50 f.8-3.5 on a Lumix GF1 with the Panasonic adaptor.
Will this this lens focus on that body?
I'm Alex, a beginner in photography. I am a traveler so want to capture all my travelling experiences through photography. I loved reading the threads published on this portal. Well, I'm here to get the guidance on photography while travelling. Hoping to hear from the experts soon.
Welcome everyone- I am new also. I guess I don't understand the posting rules. A message told me to introduce myself at the Viewfinder Forum but when I went to post, it told me I could'nt. At a loss. Paul
So I ran across this forum while searching for DSLR reviews and what should be my next investment.
Currently I am using a Sony Alpha A300 with the stock lenses. The 3.5-5.6/18-70 and 4.5-5.6/75-300, obviously nothing special. I have recently started experimenting with lens filters and not really getting the results I was looking for. I do believe that the majority of the issues lie in the entire setup...haha.
I'm debating on selling my setup and moving on to another, more advanced, setup. I know there are valid points on each side of Canon and Nikon, and I'm really not biased towards either one and open to options. I don't have a huge budget, but want something that is going to be giving high quality results with HDR options. Was looking at the Nikon D5200 and D5300, but honestly, not 100% certain what to look for.
