These are all very nice and dead on the theme. I really think a lot of people will have images to contribute to this thread. In the mean time here is another new one from me and one that I posted in the gallery earlier this week but this time it's b&w.

I came across this place sitting by the rail road tracks Saturday afternoon during my travels and thought it would fit this thread.

If you are asking about the last place by the tracks I'm not sure what it was originally but by the looks of the multi electrical meters it had been turn into apartments somewhere down the line. I would think it was some kind of general store originally.

Great find and it fits the theme perfectly. These kind of derelict vehicles are getting harder and harder to find.

From the same general area as the last one. We might add abandoned to the thread title.

'Seldom Seen' ... Seldom Seen is on the Gelantipy Plateau, in the south eastern uplands of the Australian Alps.
At Seldom Seen everything is seldom seen except for the smokey atmosphere which is always seen. The old high country cattlemens huts are very enjoyable to visit, the views are always stunning and they are great places to stay in.
Weathered, battered and neglected many are ... but the Kosciusko Huts Association is restoring as many historic alpine huts as possible.

Comment on the picture with the train tracks and red building....
I really like this photo a lot! They way one track leads into the distance and the other comes in to the scene and back out with the nice curve adds interest to the photo. I have to say that the colors and the detail are very nice also. Maybe a little less sky on the top. The over all picture just goes together very well for me and I think it's great. Jeff
