ya thats the thing that makes all that buzzing noise from the trees and you never see them. there was a dead one on my steps the other day. the thing was huge and gross just like that one.

Wow, that's a big cicada!

We had lots of those in Mexico, they would sit high up in the trees and then make a racket in the evenings.

I have seen some dead cicadas before, but not a live one.
