    Some good news!!

I thought I would share a bit of good news with my photography friends. Earlier this year I entered my first serious photo contest. The contest was put on by Wisconsin Trails Magazine. There were 3 different categories, people, wildlife and scenic, and you were allowed to enter 3 photos in each category. I entered 3 photos in both the wildlife and scenic categories. Of my 6 entries, I placed 1st & 2nd in the wildlife category, and had an honorable mention. I also received an honorable mention in the scenic category. On top of that, they also chose my fox kit photo as the grand prize winner. So of my 6 entries, 4 have been published in the magazine. If you have a subscription, you probably already have it. If not, it hits news stands on the 11th.

Here is a link to all the winners and what the judges had to say about them.

On a side note. One of the editors emailed me to tell me her brother was very interested in my work. He has now ordered 4 - 24x36 and 1 30x40 canvas gallery wraps of some of my landscape photos. Between the cash reward for the photo contest and this sale, it's starting out to be a pretty good year for me!!

Congrats...after looking at the photos, they made a great selection. You caputured a lot of feeling in the photos, as well as, being technically very sound.

Well done!!, even if it is with a Canon. ;)
