    Some Birds From Around Town.

These are some shots I got yesterday, and a few from last year. Any comments are welcome.

Cool Shots Almo! What gear did you use?

Also, I noticed a few of them were cropped. How much cropping did you do?

Thanks speed! Yeah, I use a DiMage 7i so unfortunantly I sometimes have to crop. It only has a 200mm lens on it so I can only get up so close to the birds, unless the have no fear. I got to within 20 or so feet of that ibis before it took off.

Some of them, like the egret and the hawk and duck are cropped tightly. Others I don't have to crop much at all like the ibis, and others like the lovebirds are full frame.

Good work on these. I like all the compositions and really like the feel of the egret with the palm reflections.

YOU are CAMERA BIRD NERD #2

I dig the redshouldered hawk , the great egret fishing(B&W) and the white ibis in flight but.... MUSCOVY duck and lovebirds? ...

my first visit to DING DARLING ... I shot a redshouldered hawk nearly full frame with a 170-500...... at 170mm I was at minimum focus distance(10 feet ) THAT is WHY I am CAMERA BIRD NERD #1

Hey I happen to loves muscovy ducks. They are my favorite duck. I know most ppl like wood ducks or mallards, but I am a muscovy man. Me and my GF call them grebbies cuz when I was younger I thought they were grebes.

You can't deny the cutness of a couple in love. How she presses her head into his chest lovingly.

I got some great female cardnal pix today! I will post later.

    Hey Almo

That one of the egret (black and white) is a really classy shot. I like it!
