    Small Town America

Took my new lens out for some daytime shots today, just a spin around town. Didn't get any great shots, these are probably my strongest from today's session.

#1) shot this from out my car window while I paused at an intersection. What first caught my eye was the alignment of the flowers above his head, but now I think the shot works as a snapshot of midsummer small-town life.

#2) I was turning around in a parking lot when these sweet little flowers caught my eye from far away. I'm at 300 mm focal length for this one.

#3) I was experimenting with the manual settings on this one and I didn't get them right, but I like the expression on this little boy's face, and along with the color scheme he's just an All-American boy, wouldn't you say?

Your exposures are pretty good in all 3 shots, Kelly, though the boy's face might be a little dark. The strength of all 3 images is the composition...good eye on your part and good decision as to when to press the shutter. Nice work.

    Agree with Charles..

The composition is the strength of these shots. Well done. I like how the boy appears to be eating chips or pretzels or something while on the slide. Amusing...
