I haven't posted this before - not a picture I thought I'd share ... but now, over a year later, I'm over it.

What's the story behind this one, Paul? I think it needs some explanation. Are you crying?

    Oh yes.
I was working from home, and Loseley let out a loud yowl.
Went upstairs, sat down by the food bowls.
Picked her up from her favourite spot over the central heating pipes.
And sat with her in my lap for about 15 minutes until she stopped breathing.
Then I took her photo, and mine.
Unfortunately I got the door frame growing out of my head
This is just after I popped her on my lap ... she purred !

Oh, Paul. That's nice that you preserved all that. And I am pleased that you shared it with us. That's intimate stuff.

I didn't have the heart when Soupy died. I was just looking at a picture of him today and had a few tears. I hate that he's gone.

OK round two for me... Here are a couple from work today. I had the D700 with me today to try and get a few snow shots and ended up turning the camera on myself. The first is under the office fluorescent light and the computer screen and the second is a combo window and fluorescent. I'm going to post another in the window light thread just to keep it up and running.

As I was working on a new photo for my 52 week project, I took a break to take some self portraits My puppies had the idea that they'd like to be in the photo with me, and proceeded to pounce and lick me. Thus, the camera captured my laughter that couldn't be contained . Here's a collage of the 3 photos I was able to capture. This became the photo for my 5th week.

OK here is mine. Taken while on vacation in TN. We were snowed in and couldn't leave our cabin, so might as well play a little. This was also my first attempt at really putting to use the new off camera lighting set-up that I got for Christmas.....

Good to see you. Thanks for playing with us. Looks like there will be a very short learning curve with the new lights. Nice job.

jetrim, love the second one. Very ruggedly good looking and all that.

almo, you totally look amish. I expected a horse and buggy in the background.

    Oh, why not?

Just playing around with a $70 circuit city floor-model fl36 flash, bounced from some wrapping paper in a dark room. Seems to work pretty well, best deal ever!
