How do you do self-portraits when you are the least photogenic person on the face of the planet. I'll think I look decent but man, I'm surprised that it isn't my looks the broke my camera!!

Red is a good manly color. I can see it suiting you well...

I used my Sigma 17-35mm EX at 17mm.

Ha! There's a reason I keep it short! Ouch, looking like you? No way. I've still got my shirt on!!! Seems like there's a lot of shots of you floating around half naked!

Mmm, Window Light shots...I'll have to see what I can do.

Good to see you. Now post some shots of Collette and Gus in Old Timer's Window Light thread. I'll do the same with some shots of Dawn.

    Adina,

I can only bow my head in respect of your most-superior self portrait skills. That being said, I much prefer the shot that include your eyes, they're very captivating! Which only elevates it above the lofty greatness of the others!!

I like your shot Christina! The whole thing works for me, I especially like how you've framed yourself with the tree in the background.

    Rick,

I'm not sure why but your photo makes me think of Mark Hamill (of Star Wars fame).

    Continuing The Theme

Ice Beards 2009. They never get old, do they?

I took this one this morning while I was - ahemmm - camera testing. Seriously. It was dumping and I needed to test the new Olympus Stylus 1050 SW in the elements. I think it stood up to them just fine. It was soaked when I pulled it out of the case a few hours after bringing it in the house.

Thanks! It was hard to aim the camera, as I was borrowing my husband's tiny tripod and it was wet and foggy, but hooray for luck! Thankfully, I had a towel in the car, so I could get down on the ground and aim the tripod and adjust the settings without getting soaked!

As promised, here's my first photo from my 52 week project, which could/should be in the Window light thread, as it was inspired by it. Didn't exactly come out how I wanted, but it was an attempt nonetheless!

Look at you all rugged and everything. And no, those ice beards never get old. They could almost be standard office dress code.

they're also two different sizes, which freaks me out when editing. that's why so many are with them closed.
