    Angry printer print sizes!

Whats up with these printer print sizes?
I can understand people wanting document size printers to do double duty as photo printers, but it would be nice if the photo quality printers were made to print up to 11x 14" . The next logical step up would be 16" wide, Not 13" wide! Where did they come up with 13x 19?
My document size printer cost me $ 370 & now they want $600 for a 13x19" version!, Which will get me my 11x 14 prints. But it's $1700 for a 16" wide printer that dosent have all of the capabilties of the smaller ones yet!
I guess my point is that for $400 bucks I should be able to print 11" wide, and for about $800 bucks I should be able to print 16' wide.
    END OF RANT,
    Mark.

    Indeed, and excellent rant.

I think we should organize a rally and storm the offices of HP, Canon, Epson, and Lexmark all at once, and use the language of love...the language of explosives. ;)

    I'm with you buddy!

I may have an explanation of the 13" X 19" size for you. It's for folks who want to print 12" X 18" prints and have a border around the print. Just a guess.

12" X18" prints are "full frame" (not cropped) size. You may not see them much (I think most folks go with 11" X 14" or 16" X 20"), but they are available.

    Just my two cents.
