Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
I failed to manual focus, you can see it's fine just in front of the bird :(
Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!

Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
I've completely lost track of this post and what is what and what has been posted. Anyway, this morning I wandered out on the porch with coffee to watch the rain and lo and behold the robins were at "The Waterpark". I grabbed the closest camera and these were the result. I did go back in and get out a big gun (Canon DSLR) but the robins decided to be uncooperative :(

Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
I was out early this morning and it was very overcast, I had to shoot this one at 1600 iso and I could still only use a shutter speed of 90.

Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
First time I saw one of these I had a hard time getting the ID, the way this bird acts made me look in the wrong section of my bird book. It doesn't seem to fit in the family it is in.

Mike
black capped chickadee and a BLACK AND WHITE WARBLER ;)
Why do you think the BWWA is un- wood warbler like? Sure it is one in the US in it's genus, but it warbles, eats insects and is like no other family of bird :)
Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
I am pretty sure this is a first winter savannah sparrow, but juvenile sparrows are hard
Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
We have a BUNCH OF images here, and yours makes that bunch 2 more :)
water park :) hahaha
These BTW are from CANADA , as robins are migrating already

The way they go up and down the trees I thought it was some type of nuthatch or creeper.

You think so, I was thinking it was a Palm Warbler. Dark head and line through the eye.
Mike
Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
AH....... Yes they do act very nuthatch like!
Re: Post Your Bird Images Here!!!!!!!
You think so,.......
Your right..... under closer observation I see a slight wingbar. The clean chest is palm like, but some young common yellowthroats are cleaner chested. the eye line is also a trait of the yellowthroat , as is the dark head.
I have seen very few young PALM warblers, but they are traveling through here and there in the last week ;)

Here's another shot of that bird that shows the head a bit better, I didn't post this one since it wasn't as sharp.
