    Photo sells for $202,0000 (see link)

    AP story in Houston Chronical today - another photo to show that good photos are usually "made"...

    Lot of money for a photograph! Interesting story behind the shot, especially that the photographer was working for someone so he didn't own the rights to the image.

    Lots of ink has been spilled concerning this photograph. In his later days, Doisneau admitted having paid actors to pose for him. But before he spilled his guts, many couples have tried to sue him for the rights of the image, pretending being the legendary couple.

    Steph, the article says that the woman who sold the print was actually the woman in the photograph, and she says she did bring a lawsuit against the photographer to try to get royalties, but the lawsuit was rejected. The only monies she could get from the photograph was to sell her original print.
