    Old Biloxi Lighthouse

This lighthouse was built in 1848 and is the only lighthouse in the United States that stands in the middle of a four lane highway. This lighthouse has survived not only hurricane Katrina in 2005 but also hurricane Camille in 1969 and many others in the last 164 years. This is the most photographed landmark on the coast. The original cost for the lighthouse was $12,000 and they have just finished a $400,000 renovation on it.

I took this picture last year in October and you can see a pumpkin on the steps of the new visitors center behind the lighthouse, Jeff

    Re: Old Biloxi Lighthouse

Thanks Greg and Jeff! I was very pleased with this photo. I took it in October of last year and thought I would get a couple of prints made up this week so I had a 11x14 and a 16x20 done and the first person I showed it to bought the 16x20 framed. I think this image is going to do well for me, Jeff
