Ornament on the tree. Out of work for a good part of the year ... so, more on the tree than under it. Looking forward to a great 2007!!!!

There's the full set from the Christmas gather of my mom's side of the family. I didn't get any photos at my dad's side gathering because I was busy talking with my friend whom I brought along to keep her from being alone Christmas day.

Some teasers from the set above...

These were all taken with my Nikon F80 with a Nikkor AF-D 24mm, Nikkor AF-G 28-80mm, and a Nikkor AF-G 70-300mm with a SB-28 Speedlight flash. Using Kodak Portra 160NC flim, scanned to CD in lab.

She's been doing pretty well. We bought an egg timer, and set it for 30 minutes. Every time it rings, someone gets up and takes her out. We're improving, the first 2 days it was every 10 minutes.

    Re: Official Christmas Picture thread

Well except for the food poisoning I got on the 29th, I had a really good Christmas. The day after Christmas my wife and I flew out to Utah to see my parents & sister and her family, and since my sister didn't know we were coming out to Utah for Christmas they got a great surprise

My dad and me spend most of the 27th just driving around, looking for good photo spots. Problem is, with all the snow on the roads, there was no place to pull over to take photos! But I did get a couple in
Making the best out of a situation:

A pedestrian bridge at a park in Provo Canyon

The other exciting thing we did even though it was a really icy wind and 33 degrees we took my nieces sledding. Well, the "hill" was about 5 feet tall, but because of the snow being really icy, they got some good speed and that hill was just right for them.

My wife even got into it!

Some of them got going REALLY fast

And they even crashed for fun

But at the end of the day, nothing beat a good hot chocolate at the car (my sister, on the right, is in the Witness Protection Program, so she asked that her face not be shown. Ok, well actually its because it was so windy her hair kept blowing in her face!!)

Great pictures are taken with the mind...the problem lies in getting the dang camera to take the same picture!
