    The not so great ones....

Something somebody said got me to thinking about the not so great images that we still love. Well all have a few. You know, the one you thought was great, but no one else did, or the one that truly just sucks but you couldn't bare to toss out.

Post these images here so we can all see our favorite not so greats!

Here is one of my favs...

    Almo,

A neat idea, though I'm a tad embarassed of putting this up! So many errors, but it was one of my first shots with my new camera and has a special place in my heart

Neat idea Almo. I like it.

Below is mine. It isn't that great really. A bit indistinct in the shadows, and not much else . But I somehow always like this picture. Something about fog and mist just draws me. Well, here it is.

Re: The not so great ones....

    here's mine

How do you know why it's blurred?
When panning on a moving car shot there is a simple way to find out.
Look at the wheels, provided they have spokes, to see what's up.

The top of the wheel is travelling forward faster than the car body.
The bottom of the wheel is travelling forward slower than the car body.
And the wheel centre is of course (you hope!) at the same speed.

So look at the centre of the wheel. Is it circular?
If it's more a line, then is it horizontal?
If so, then are the spokes at the top sharper than at the bottom?
    Panned too fast.
Are the spokes at the bottom sharper than at the top?
    Panned too slow.
