    Night shot of harbor

I took this tonight at 7:40 in the marina at Ocean Springs. I went down to try some more shots with my Sigma 17-50mm to see what I could get, Jeff

Those photos are making me want to drive down to the bay or gulf to see what I could get.

    Excellent on both.

That first one is really nice and clear. Very good job on controlling the noise on it!

#1 is beautiful, looks to me like a painting

I'm puzzled about the amount of noise on the second one

    Re: Night shot of harbor

On the first shot I did a three shot multiple shot that was merged in the camera. I am working on a write up to put how and why to do it and place it in the Nikon forum under my thread "Nikon D7000 tips". The second one was probably a single shot and maybe a different ISO. The multiple shot that can automatically be merged in camera is a great Nikon feature. I had a friend do this same shot with this technique and the picture is stunning. I didn't have the time to spend taking pictures that night or as good of conditions as he did but I will be trying this again. Thanks everyone for leaving your comments and check out the tips thread. Some of you may know everything that I have written already but I have to think there are a lot of members that don't. Thanks again to everyone, Jeff

I am surprised you got the star pattern on the lights at F/10. Did you run an effect to create that? Normally I don't see that pattern unless I'm at F/16 or smaller.
