    Nice flower...

Taking photos of flowers really isn't me, but I shot this one in my parent's garden this afternoon because I loved the colours, and it was just about getting picked out by the last shafts of light coming into the garden. Thought I'd share:

Very vibrant colors and nice DOF. What was your lens choice and f stop on this image. I would have like to see it just a shade wider to include all the petals, but a striking image just the same.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Re: Nice flower...

    Thanks guys.

Old Timer - I shot this with my Sony DSC-V3, using the macro setting. I was using the manual mode, and rather embarrassingly had forgotten that it was set on ISO400, so I could have got something rather sharper with ISO100. The f-stop was 5.6. There were other versions that had more petals in, but the light wasn't quite as interesting - always the way!

I don't mean to be a drag here, but i found this image to be rather cold and drab. The basic idea is good and the subject is great. So I tried touching it up just abit.

I applied an unsharpmask and upped the saturation and brightness. I also did a slight color correction. What do you think?
