This is not a new photo but one of my favorite window light photos. Taken with my Canonet GIII QL-17 & Fuji NPS 160 film.

Nice to have a film image here on the window light thread. Beautiful job Ray.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

NICE! And it looks like you took it in the golden hour or close to it. The sun looks low in the sky there and there is a lovely warm glow to the light.

Thanks OT & Alison. I forgot to mention the girl's name is Shanda. When we lived in Ca she was one of our local Starbuck's baristas.

This was a very early attempt at window light, on one of those days when you feel
you should be doing something, but not the things you should be doing !

I really like what you have done with this image. I commented on it in the gallery as well. It reminds me of portraits I was doing nearly 40 years ago. Those are still some of my favorite photos ever.

Thank you, Old Timer, for your kind words. I think I'm going to need every bit of 40 years and then some -- there's a lot to learn

    Speed's Hat Trick

Or it could be called, Speed, a triple threat.

No, I don't play hockey, and no, I don't sing, dance and act.

But I did take some photos that meet the criteria for three different threads.

    These are self portraits.

    These are window light portraits.

And, these were taken with my 50mm.

D300, 50mm f1.4, ISO 200, f 5.6. Taken in my office, by a east facing window in the afternoon, handheld at arms length.

Now if you'll excuse me, I have to post this in other threads. ;-)

    Thank you Larry!

I've seen double posts on PR, though they have always been in two different forums. I believe this is the first triple post, and the first triple post in one forum. Rick and Adina are falling behind!

BTW, all three of the threads I submitted this to were started by you!

I noticed that. LOL All three of those threads have been very successful. I think there success is due mainly to the fact that most everyone can participate. I love it when a thread takes on a life of it's own. Greg has a couple of thread going that are like the Energizer Bunny too.

Thanks, Alison. I note we have much of the same equipment. I looked at your blog/gallery. Very nice! I hope to have the opportunity to one day pick your brain regarding your equipment and technique.
