New Website.....would like your opinions!

Finally got my new site up and running.... I would like to know what you all think.. I still have to get it validated and fix some minor errors, but I would just like to know what everyone thinks overall........

Overall I like the site very much. Having done some web design in the past, I try to look at things from the perspective of the customer who is not necessarily as experienced as we are here. The issues I found are all relatively minor.

They are:
* Gallery page load times are incredibly long - frustratingly long
(fix- Have someone who's good with HTML put a marker on your main page that instructs the visitor's browser to "pre-load images". This means the photos will start to download into their temporary folder before they ever get to the gallery page to start browsing.)

*For Sale page - **IMAGES MAY VARY SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT WHEN PRINTED**
This is bad grammar
(fix - **IMAGE COLOR TONES MAY VARY SLIGHTLY WHEN PRINTED**)

*About me page - This text bothered me, it does not come across in the way it was intended, in my opinon and I would consider possibly revising/rewording it:

"I am an honest person and my
ultimate goal is not to be better
than other photographers, but to
give my clients the best images
I can."

(possible fix:
"I hold honesty and integrity
paramount. My ultimate goal
is to give my clients the best
images I can. My primary focus
is on your happiness, not the
latest fads and gimmicks
employed by the photographic
community."

Thanks for the input..... forgot to check download time. I am working on fixing that right now.

Also, thanks for the wording catch, I did change them both to something a little better.

The not being found issue was due to a server problem this morning(not my fault! ) but it is all good now.

So, other then some wording, and major slow download time..... do you like the layout and look??

I like to be able to view galleries of photos. I'm not really seeing that.

It looks nice and navigates well.

Just out of curiosity, what internet connection speed do you have?

One problem I was having is when my pointer was on the tabs such as FOR SALE or GALLERIES, the drop-down menu disappeared as I moved down to pick which gallery to select. Also by having the pictures stacked if I wanted to go back and see a picture again my only option is to go through the complete cycle to get back to the picture I wanted to see. I would prefer to be able to rotate through the pictures or pick one out individually for a second look, Jeff

I think the photo stacking is really neat. Maybe it could be used to highlight some of your best work?

For me though, when I want to look through pics it would get irritating. I love the layout of smugmugs 15 thumbs on the left and navigating through pics on the right.
