Last night I created a PhotographyREVIEW.com page on myspace: http://www.myspace.com/photographyreview

I want to use it to pormote the site to all the photographers who use myspace. But I don't want it to just be another spam page on myspace. So I was trying to think of things to do to make it useful, interesting, and relevant. I want people to actually be happy about adding it to their friends list and getting bulletins from it.

What I want to do is use the blog to highlight PhotographyREVIEW.com community content. At least once a week I'll post to the blog with the weekly Featured Photos, some new user reviews, interesting forum discussion, etc. It will be sort of like a mini newsletter on myspace. What do you think?

I've also been thinking about doing something similar on Flickr. Since Flickr is all photos, I was going to just upload all of our Featured Photos and create a PhotographyREVIEW.com Featured Photo gallery there. I'd use it to give our best photographers more exposure, as well as attract new photographers to PhotographyREVIEW.com.

What do you guys think of these ideas? Flickr and myspace both represent huge numbers of photographers that we aren't necessarily reaching. Would any of you mind if I posted one of your photos on Flickr, if I made sure the photographer gets the correct credit? That's my only real concern. I don't want to take liberties with anyone's photos.

Thanks!
