Yes, I couldn't help but be drawn to that famous image, too!

Congratulations Loupey. Your display looks great. I'm actually going to be going through Ohio this weekend, but I think we will be sticking to I-80. If we have time, I will see if we can swing down to Columbus, but I'm doubtful.

Thanks, Mike. I-80 is a long way away (over 2 hours) so I wouldn't expect you to make that much of a detour.

But if you do, call me and the least I could do is meet you there and treat you (and your wife I presume) to lunch/dinner. There is a fantastic Greek restaurant right next door.

Thanks for the info Loupey. Yes, it will be my wife and I, along with both of my parents. We are taking them to D.C. but don't have anything set in stone as far as how we plan on getting there and back. The mapquest directions I printed have us on I-80 but that can easily be changed. I will keep you posted if we end up in the Columbus area.

Great! I'll let you know that the butterfly exhibit at our conservatory just started last week. An easy 20 minute drive away.

    OR

If you'd rather meet up in Port Clinton (VERY close off I-80) for the annual warbler migration which peaks during the first week of May (aka "the biggest week in American birding"). An unforgettable experience.

Re: My Work Currently On Display

    Thanks again, everyone.

To start off the event, the gallery held an artist's reception. We had a great turnout of about 60~70 people who enjoyed the exhibit, food, and spiked drinks. Some potential business opportunities did arise for me - more later if they pan out.

I have a couple "bird pieces" on display and although there are many professional bird photographers much more talented than me in our area, I was told that my images show "personality". I took that as a terrific compliment.
