    My truck,

Under a star-filled sky while camping in Virginia Beach last month.

Here's some more of my most recent scans:
    2.) Mosquito
3.) I call it "god spilled some color"
4.) Mt Shasta from the top of Lassen Volcano.

    Thanks,

    Re: My truck,

All of your pictures are really good in my opinion, althogh i think it might be a bit more pleasing for the eye, if the first picture was flipped 180 degrees, even though the way you have it now is prolly the way you took it.

    Re: My truck,

    Thanks Mando

I looked at the mosquito sideways (horizontal) and I don't think it lends the same sense of "gravity" that I get from it this way. I appreciate your input on it however If anyone else feels the same way please let me know!

    Re: My truck,

    Hey Leon

Thanks for the compliment. Actually, no, I really don't own a true macro lens but instead have made a living putting close-up filters into the front of my 50mm 1.8 and more recently my 105 2.5 as well. They give excellent results and I don't have to drop the $300 bones for the Sigma 105 2.8 macro that way

    Thanks for the response!

    Re: My truck,

Your photos are some of the most beautiful I have seen on this site rick. Your awesome! However, what does this post have to do with a truck?

    Re: My truck,

    Hey Almo

I forgot to add the truck picture to my original post It's the blurry star shot that I added about midway through the thread. It was clearer in the slide but my truck's sitting in the bottom of the frame, illuminated by the lights from a nearby bridge. Please visit Critique if you'd like to critique it!

Thanks for your compliments, Almo man. That means so much. I'm bringing a bunch of old shots to light recently so it is nice to hear them well received.

    Thanks.

You're right Don't worry, Megan in another thread already sent me to a book that looks like it will shake up my conception of women and violence (see woman dropping from pedestal... ker-plunk)

I think what I was referring to was the general nature of "womankind" which seems much less violent than that of "mankind." That's a broad generalization of course, and I am more than happy to be learnt otherwise

    Thanks

    Re: I think he means

    ahem.

I don't think that one ride in the passenger seat of my truck (even if it was to the beach!) qualifies this truck as yours!

You'll have to demonstrate a full functional knowledge of truck possession before ownership can change hands. This includes (but is not limited to):
Playing country music at least haf an hour a day, every day (even when you know its driving people mad)
Running over curbs, medians, and small walls simply because... you can.
Driving through a field just because you're tired of the street.
Switching it into 4 wheel drive for a few miles just because you haven't used it in awhile.
    Sleeping in the truck bed.
Taking it to the mountains (and then turning around and coming back if you have to)
    Driving it on the beach.
Always having 3 people in the cab, preferably with a hot chick with a little white tank top in the middle.
Thinking about doing all above said things when you're not in the truck.

Then, and ONLY THEN will you be able to wear the badge of...
    TRUCK DRIVER

    The test begins.

    Are you man enough?

    check I can do that

Running over curbs, medians, and small walls simply because... you can.
I've always done that---you mean that's not a natural thing to do in any vehicle...hmmm

Driving through a field just because you're tired of the street.
check. and over the sidewalk or a median strip...you missed that one...tsk tsk

Switching it into 4 wheel drive for a few miles just because you haven't used it in awhile.
sorry no car I've ever owned had that feature---another good reason to give me your truck

    Sleeping in the truck bed.
Only if I can bring Larry

Taking it to the mountains (and then turning around and coming back if you have to)
    check I'd be willing

    Driving it on the beach.
didi that with a friend's old blazer in N.C. does that count???

Always having 3 people in the cab, preferably with a hot chick with a little white tank top in the middle.
check. Anastasia looks fine in a white tank top...she's go the curves too

Thinking about doing all above said things when you're not in the truck.
    check

Then, and ONLY THEN will you be able to wear the badge of...
    TRUCK DRIVER

O.k. so when do I get the keys and the truck and see if I can really do all those things????????

    Re: I think he means

    Hmm.

Perhaps a trial period is in order?

While you're in Arlington, I'll switch cars with you. If you pass the truck test during your time here, you may keep the truck and i'll drive your Buick or whatever with all my tools thrown in the trunk.

    BUT.
There are some rules during your trial period:
NO dirty diapers on my upholstery! (I don't care how cute she is!)
NO changing my radio stations! (why you would want to, I don't know)
NO picking up hot chicks without me (oh, wait that rule is for my other friend)
NO bonfires in the back! (take off the cap first!)
NO towing anything bigger than a house!
    and the number one rule:
    baby it

    all these rules

NO dirty diapers on my upholstery! I'm sure much worse has been on your upholstery
NO changing my radio stations! OH O.K.
NO picking up hot chicks without meare there any hot chicks left in that area...???
NO bonfires in the back! ...hmmm...you're starting to cramp my style
NO towing anything bigger than a house! geesh... guesss the small float I constructed in your honor naming you the male Self Portratist is going to have to stay here....
    and the number one rule:

    I'm all about babyin'

just for clarification.... we HAD a cutlass..before someone totaled it last week. Larry's fine he was one of five cars(second in line) and he/the car were at a standstill when he got hit at 45 mph...bye bye car---back to one car again...

Second of all....you can't get my new two week old minivan dirty with your tools....
NO strange odors or stains on any of my seats...
NO dirty tools in the front seats...
    and
No turning into a ghetto mobile or pimp ride for you and hoards of women that you should rightfully follow you like groupies...oops...wait...THAT was dream I had about someone else

you know I love you don't ya??? ;)
