    My main squeeze!

Can you take it? This is Edgar. Is he not the cutest thing you've ever seen? How I love this guy! I really think my husband is jealous of him.

Don't let looks fool ya. Edgar is a first class P-I-G when it comes to eating. However he is on a doggy diet and will never be near eating that much dog food in a month.

    Re: My main squeeze!

Cassie eats 25lbs a week, and I expect that Gizmo will do the same. Cassie isnt fat but "filled out" nicely, not to mention she is 90% muscle and this guy looks like he will be the same, maybe not as big as her, but just as strong. I thought of something smaller such as your new friend here but didn't think it would stand a chance with the Cat or Cassie

I used to have a mixed breed dog that looked like a collie/shepherd on dachshund legs.

LOL! Are you sure it wasn't a corgi? Sure sounds like one.

Here's a better body shot of Edgar. I feel bad showing this one because he needs to be brushed so bad. The only downfall to these guys is they are hairy beast.

I got my words mixed up here. I swear I don't drink.

He's a Pembroke Welsh Corgi and not he's not a cross. A purebred. There are two kinds of Corgis. Pembrokes and Cardigans.

Well his ears were floppy and his tail arched over his back like a Tibetan Spaniel. His body looked something like this:

but his coloring was more of the Tibetan Mastiff:

and his face was somewhere in between.

I wish I could post a picture but my scanner's down.

    Re: My main squeeze!

Hi Just stumbled across this, the Corgi was the first dog to bite me . He looks a real cute dog.

I believe that the Corgi was used to round up cattle in Wales due to their ability to nip the ankles of cattle, along with the Border Collie of course for sheep.

I will be back visiting my parents in Wales this coming weekend in Carmarthenshire which is right next door to Pembrokeshire which has some beautiful coastline for photography. I might pop over to Tenby for some photos weather permitting.

Wow! I hope the weather is good enough. I'd love to see.

Now Roger, were you running when the Corgi bit you? When anyone runs Edgar goes a little crazy.

    Re: My main squeeze!

I was playing rugby in the streets like most Welsh kids of that time, 60's. It came up from behind and nipped my ankle, just like they do with cattle.

I just gave it a tap with my foot and it decided to run off home. Funny how those things stick in the old grey cells.

I'll definitely post the pictures but it will depend on the weather.
