Happy Holidays, Merry Christmas, Happy Kwanza, Happy Hanukkah, Feliz Navidad, etc
To everyone.
Just wanted to Wish everyone a great next few weeks and wish you the best for the upcoming year. My participation has seriously declined because we've been a whirlwind of chaos as usual...much good news and some bad news but all in all we are alive and well today as we leave for Christmas in VA.
THE GOOD NEWS--- for those of you that are familiar with some of the "trouble" we've had with our oldest....we had our last court date ( I hope) for the year and he has t o stay out of trouble for a year(knock on wood) and all charges will dropped. His high school has finally found him ot be in need of special services and has FINALLY (after three years of fighting) put him in a school program better suited to help him succeed.
We also got a happy new minivan which makes EVERYONE happy. When one travels anywhere with a 15, 3, and 2 year old things get ugly fairly quickly if they actually have to sit next to each other. this way we can spread them out a bit and even Larry and I can enjoy the trip....
THE BAD NEWS
A week after we got our minivan(two weeks ago) and finally felt like life was settling---LArry was slammed into from behind while standing still in traffic. Our older car a Cutlass supreme (those things are built tough) was totalled....he had to take three days of work to recover and the car was declared a total loss which now makes us a one car family again---ugh
a week after that...Our youngest (who is doing fine now) had to be admitted into the hospital for a few days because she was having difficulty breathing. She was taking about a 1-2 breaths a second and was wheezing badly. they can't call it asthma because it's only happenend once but we do have the history in our family. After 8 hours(1 1/2 of that waiting to be seen) in the hospital and missing my two year olds first play...I was first heart broken that no one was in the audience to cheer him on and two terrified at how lightly doctors and nurses take the severity of a kid who can't breathe.
ALL said and done...life is going back to normal and we are once again getting out bearings....So with that update, I wish you all a wonderful time with your family and friends(sometimes the best family one can have) and will see you after the first of the Year...
Thnaks for another wonderful year of support ,critiques, and a great enviroment to grow artistically. My photography has grown leaps and bounds from the first miserable out of focus flower to now.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year Everyone
Hugs and regards
NATALIE
