So, we HAD to go for both the 2.8 AND the IS, eh???
Just one question: when you gonna get your butt down to FLA so I can play with that little jewel?
Hehe... After selling the Nikns and lenses, I decided to have a smaller, but better setup. I now only have three lenses that I use most, and I decided to make two of them L glass for build and weather sealing. The 17-40 f/4 L and this puppy. I have all focal lengths I ever use covered and have almost finished the migration to Canon. Still need a flash, but it's really not critical since I hardly ever use one except for occassional outdoor fill-in and family party sort of stuff.
Well, Dennis and I are serious about coming down there, and it will be sometime over the summer, will keep you updated once I talk with him after his Korea trip.
And to everyone else...thanks, it's always fun to get new gear. The IS will get some getting used to. So many things to learn...

Well, I thought this was supposed to have something to do with my birthday, but ok, summer is fine. Just make sure I'm not in New York... ;)
And, in case you forgot what happend the last time you came down this way when it was summer: MOSQUITOES!

Yep......opening a box with a beauty like that inside all that white stuff surely feels like Christmas! Nothing like that good feeling
I have the 200mm/f2.8 - my only L lens, and I absolutely LOVE it. None of my other lenses get the results this one does. I get that same exciting feeling everytime I look through the viewfinder through this lens and my 300D.
