    I'm so EXCITED!!!!!!

The company I work for has a gallery in our corporate headquarters where they display the works of various artists during the year. December is for the employees to display their work. We are able to take up to 3 pieces for the show. They have a couple of people judge the work and choose what is to be displayed. 2 of the 3 photos that I took have been picked to be in the show!!!! I'm pretty excited!!! I've never displayed my work for anyone other than class projects so this is a great confidence booster for me. I have posted pics of all three images here for you to see. My girlfriend was really dissapointed that the picture that she thought was the best, was the one not chosen. So, with that being said, I would like to take a poll, to see what images you would choose to show, if you could only choose 2 of the three.

    Thanks for looking.

I would not use the horse photo for two reasons. One, the sky is a bit burned out, distracting the eye, maybe it's my monitor, but there it stands. Two, there is not enough detail of the horses, possibly because of the burned out sky. This may have been in consequence of the camera metering the sky, not the ground. I hate to guillotine such a nice composition, but it is a bit too burned out. Good luck with the other excellent shots.

Definitely the waterfall...awesome is the only word I can think of. I've been wanting to take a shot like that for a long time and can never seem to get my exposure right.

I hate to go along with everyone else , but three is the winner. This type of shot has become something of a cliche, but yours is so sharp and the colors are so nice that it has to be the one to display. Beautiful photograph, congradulations. I hope your co-workers will appreciate your talent and give you the recognition you deserve.

    Cool Re: I'm so EXCITED!!!!!!

I hate to make this boring - but I picked No. 3 and as the 2nd choice - No. 2.

IMO No. 3 is really a winner. Good composition - and blurr. Nice colors. No. 2 is good also, but No. 3 wins for me!

    Re: I'm so EXCITED!!!!!!

Well you know how much I like that Hyde Mill shot from the first time you showed it to me and I think that waterfall shot (as well as other similar ones you've shown us) ranks right up there.
I would think that they would figure they already had enough horses butts hanging around corporate headquarters and wouldn't need that shot. )

Stop being surprised when your photos are chosen, you are very good at this.

    Re: I'm so EXCITED!!!!!!

Thanks for all the comments everyone. Your support and encouragement is greatly appriciated. Judging by the poll results, you agree with the judges of the show. The horses were not chosen to be displayed. I like your reasoning behind that choice Chunk! I went to the opening of the show this afternoon and I heard a lot of nice things about my photos. There are a lot of very nice photos, as well as paintings, charcoal drawings and some other displays as well. It's really an honor for me to have something displayed like this. Thanks again to everyone for all your advice, comments and encouragement!!!
