Just because it's got pictures in it doesn't necessarily mean it's a photgraphy book!
lol
I'm sorry it took me so long to reply, I'm a little slow sometimes..
"doesn't necessarily mean it's a photgraphy book!"
How very true! Otherwise, Playboy, Vogue, Glamour, etc, would all be considered "photography" books (or magazines)! I've read some authors of posing/glamour photography books have recommended them, to look at the photo's, to see how they pose people, how the lighting is done, etc. But none of them have ever recommended reading them!
What's funny is that I've been taking astrophotography shots for more than two years now, and within the past few months I've bought two books on astrophotography. :-O
I haven't really learned anything new photographically, but it's interesting reading about the techniques others use, and seeing that others use similar or identical lenses, film, etc. They've got some good idea's and suggestions that I think are great, whether you're a novice or experienced astrophotographer.
Thanks for the comments. They are always appreciated. :-)
Paulnj, if you were British I'd believe that "Birder's World" WAS a porn mag! In England, "bird" is a slang for a woman. I learned that from Paul McCartney, on his Back in the U.S.A. tour, when he explained that his song "Blackbird" was about the Civil Rights of black women... if my memory serves me right, it was referring to Rosa Parks.
