    Hurricane Gostav so far

    So far we have been lucky and this is all that has happened to this point. This a maple tree on my front fence, Jeff

    Ouch. It always unfortunate to lose a mature tree. Keep safe. I have been watching some of the reports and video of Gustav (?) on CNN - glad I am up here (Canada) and not down there.

    It's all over and we just lost one tree and everything else is just fine. Someone came by and removed the tree off the fence and put it on the other side of the road. All I need to do if fix the fence. Some of the other folks around here were not as lucky, but all in all things are much better than we expected.
