I am new to this site. just wonted to say hi to every one how do you go about posting a photo?

Hi Debra. Welcome!

We look forward to seeing your contributions to the site! To post a photo, you must have it saved on your computer and resized to do more than 630k pixels wide, and a file size no more than 200k large. From there, when you make a post in a forum, scroll down to the bottom of the screen, and you will see a button that says "Upload Photos." Clicking that will open an upload window from which you can browse your hard drive for your picture. There's also an upload how-to in the FAQ section of the Welcome thread at the top of this forum.

630k pixels wide

A slight typo there - that would be 630 (not "k" which would be billboard size ) or actually maybe it's 640. Regardless, that's the dimension on the longest side. Here's some more info - and welcome to the site!
