those car pics made me think, maybe i shoudl put some of those horivontal fins ( on front bumper and behind rear wheel) on my car to help with grip and downforce, cornering, etc. any stats on how fast you gotta be to be effective?

im kinda joking, but if they actually helped at <80 mph id consider them. :-)

Not very effective below 70mph.
You'll get more improvement from changes to toe-in, castor and camber angles.
Mechanical grip is good in the slower corners, where my car is OK, but not fantastic.
But fast corners like Eau Rouge/Radillon and Pouhon do need additional downforce.
I can only take those at 80mph entry.
