    Happy Birthday, Katie and Alex

My two youngest grandchildren were born 2 years and two days apart.
Makes it easier for mom and dad as they can just do a combined birthday party for both.
Katie is 5,(where does the time go?), and Alex is three now.
I was just snapping and hoping a few would come out a little better than snapshots. Kids move so much you really have to be ready.
Got lucky with Katie on one shot but I also love some of the my Alex shots because how often do you see a kid drawing with watermellon rind?
Family shots of kids might not make it to the hall of fame,(see PJ's worst shot ever), but they are often the most important personally.
I did think about removing the chocolate cake crumb from Katie's chin but figured,"hey..that's the way it was!"

Yes! Happy Birthday to Katie and to Alex! :23:

You have beautiful grandchildren, Frog! Look at that red hair!

I agree about family photos - and how much they mean to us. They are treasures - and to me capturing the moment is more important than getting all the technicalities right.

Great shots......thanks for sharing your grandchildren with us.
