    Glamour: What's another pretty face?

Here's another session with my latest favorite model, Carrie. I love her. Her personality comes straight through the camera, and at 5'11" and built like she is - it's so worth it.

What is your "purpose" for shooting these? I mean, are these commissioned by her or are they for your use? Just curious.

    These are very sexy.

Trying to find something special to say about these, but have failed. You continue to produce quality images. Your progress in the last year is wonderful. While glamour may not be everyones bag, there is a big market for it and for someone trying to break in as a model ect. glamour shots are essential. I like how you have you have been able to capture her beauty and playful spirit in these images. Foot on the chair, glasses and the big smile with the hose over the back are the real quality photos in this group IMHO. Nice going Andy, but don't forget your sports photos, I still want to see somemore of that hockey stuff.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

Your studio work is impressive. I've been away a long time, and it's nice to come back to see how much everyone has improved their skills. #3 & #6 are my personal favorites. Good stuff, Andy.

Charles, good to see you back. You have certainly, in my opinion, been missed on these forums.

Thanks for the comments, everyone - and especially, you Charles - a while back you inspired to really learn what I was doing with my camera, and I can't thank you enough for that. I continue that path today, and I think it's paying off. Thanks for the kind workds.

All great images. I'll bet she's one happy camper to have these in her portfolio. I love the soft glow of the outdoor shots. How did you achieve that? I've been playing a lot with PS but I can't seem to get that glow in my portrait shots.
Again, great images-I'm so JEALOUS-great images and a gorgeous subject too.

Re: Glamour: What's another pretty face?

There's actually two different post-processing actions being used.

The first outdoor pic with the soft hazy feel to it is simple.

    1. Copy the background layer
    2. Gaussian Blur the copied layer to 20-25 px.
    3. Change the blending mode of the copied layer to "Lighten" and set it's opacity to taste. The photo shown is at 45% opacity.
    4. Flatten the image.

The other soft warm light is a variation of an action called Contrasoft that I got here: http://www.nobsphotosuccess.com/
