    Full Moon...

...today if you want to get out and get some moonlight on the snow shots tonight. This was taken on the way to work this morning. It's the carillon tower on the UW Madison campus.

    So THAT explains it!

GREAT shot. Wow. A perfect example of why we should always carry a camera with us...

Thanks Megan. I was glad to have the camera along after I saw this on my monitor yesterday.

Great catch Chunk!! Images like this have nothing to do with luck. All knowledge and preperation. Wonderful job caputuring the mood of the scene.
Don't forget about the Gallery. Are your photos there??

    Thanks Liz.
That shot is the best of the series because of the light on the road. I was bracketting since I wasn't sure of exposures. I heard the car coming up the hill but decided not to wait for it to pass since I was shooting digital and taking a few extra frames was no big thing. I'm glad I didn't hold off on taking the shot. Here's the next shot in the bracket with my light source in the frame.

Thanks Axle. One reason I knew there was potential here was that Sebastion showed us what great color there is in the dark sky in the times around sunset and sunrise with his shots in Chicago.

Great shot Chunk! I love the clouds in front of the moon and the off-centered tower! What was your shutter speed for this shot?
