Thanks for looking and commenting! Something different for the annual VetDay imagery. Weather was horrible and I didn't photograph anything terribly appropriate this November.

I've been researching several older images and doing various archival work this year and this one is of the Destroyer USS Strong during a stop at the Port of Miami in 1966.

The USS Strong was decommissioned and stricken in 1973 and then sold to Brazil.

She was recomissioned the D37 Rio Grande Del Norte in the Brazilian Navy and ended her seagoing days after having become another victim of the high seas off South Africa while under tow to India to be scrapped and sank off Durbin in 1997.
