    Smile My Daddy

This was a grab shot I took as he was reviewing a story he is in the process of writing. I love to sit in the lazychair next to his desk and take pictures as he writes. Any thoughts?

Turn the contrast (about +15) up a bit, and do a bit of unsharpen mask, settings 100%, radius 0.5 and threshold of 1(these are in photoshop CS).

What profile did you save with this, I get an error when opening in Photoshop CS.

Profile...hmmm...I have heard of this, but I am not that far along in photoshopping. I'm still trying to get layers down...

    Hi Almo

This is great capture of your Father !
I think the black and white is a nice choice for this photo .
Only thing that is the reflection on the glasses is a bit distracting .

It captures a nice mood !

    Regards

I think the reflection on the glasses is an unintended self-portrait (or maybe it was intended) [grin].

    Hey Almo,

Nice capture. I agree with Peter about bumping up the contrast and sharpness.

Better yet... Do you have PS or something? If so, do a web search on B&W conversions. There are some really neat things that can be done to set a picture besides a straight grey-scale conversion. One thing I try is seperate the color shot into blue, green, red channels, and then reblend to taste. I think there is great potential to increase the impact your photo delivers.

    Cheers,
