Re: ever google your own name with photography?

    I have..
And most of the time I find photographs posted on sites that I know about.
Sometimes though, I have found photographs posted, with credit, that someone else has uploaded or link to a site, without my knowledge.
I usually email the person to remove and they usually do.

I had done a google once and found my pics on an unauthorized site. The guy wouldn't remove them so I emailed him a bill for licensing the 5 photos, the worst part was he stole them from one of my sites! I gave him 30 days to pay $5000. He replied he wasn't going to pay so the next day he recieved a letter overnighted by my attorney. He still wasn't going to remove them. The next letter from the attorney went to his webhost who immediately shut the site down. This clown is, and has been making "monthly" payments to me ever since .

Don't mess with starving photographers, especially those that happen to have brother-in-lawyers
The worst part is all he had to do was find out what it would have cost him to do ut the right way... I'd have let him have them for $100 (he can afford that... he blows that daily on his race cars).
